We all love our pets and we want them to be safe while outside in our yards. The best mulch to use in your landscaping when you have pets and small children is one that is as natural as possible. Most of the mulch we sell here at Norfleet Quality are natural bark mulches. We do not add any chemicals to prevent weeds or insects making our products safer to use in your yard. Cedar and dyed mulches might be something you would want to use in areas of your landscape where pets or children don’t have access. While cedar is good at repelling fleas and you would think would be perfect to use with pets, it has natural aromatic oils that could cause stomach upset or illness if ingested.
